Sorry for creeping but have you ever read Innocent Blood by John Ensor? He's a pastor who dedicated his life to fighting against the horror of abortion. Some things I read on your blog made me think you'd like him. In this book, he talks about how fighting for the lives of innocent should be a main focus for us as Christians and that love not not only suggests but requires a fight against wrong.
I'm also very passionate about this issue...if you couldn't tell
No I haven't, most of my ideas haven't been from one source or person they just kinda have formulated over time, but the guy sounds awesome so I'm going to have to check him out. Plus i'd like to know a little about what your doing against abortion? I think its cool to hear what others are doing. Course you dont have to tell me if you don't want to, but its good to find passioate people.
I have no problem at all sharing! I'm an officer in my school's Student's for Life group. I'm in college and although my school is smaller than most other state schools we're pretty active as a group. I've been to the March for Life three times. I volunteered at a crisis pregnancy center last year and now I'm fasting chocolate (my go-to comfort food) until it is made illegal in the U.S.
I don't like to spread that last part around because we're supposed to hide our fasting but it's part of my contribution so I didn't want to leave it out!
I've seen your blog...a great way to spread the truth about the topic! What else do you do for the cause?
Well hardly as much as you. At the moment general things like just talk about it around school, and i mean talk. I got the nick name sinead abortbaby. Not cool -_- I've showed videos and stuff to teachers and most of my friends. I made youtube videos about it post things, all that kinda stuff. Recently i've volenteered at a pregnacy assictance house but that hasn't been a long term comittment yet, i really cant go in much cuz i have to go to school > Next step for me is a house i heard of that takes in pregnant teens XD, my over all goal is to start up a house like this myself. Course beging small and all that, but most of this is just dreams, im only 16 so still got a lot of stuff to do before i can even leave home. Still god's will be done.
Wow well God bless you and your future ministry - whatever that may be! It's so encouraging to see someone as young as yourself so concerned about this issue. I know at your age, my biggest fight was deciding what I was going to wear that day It's a topic that most people are afraid to talk about and I commend your courage. Don't get discouraged!! God is smiling on your work!
thanks ^_^ it's a lot easier for me than I guess it would be for most teens, just cuz i got such a strong christian family and a couple really strong christian friends. With all this support it would be plain old silly not to try at least a little.
Nice blog! I feel the same way you do about abortion. I haven't written in my blog recently, but here's mine: [link] I am now following you! Submit whatever pics you would like for the contest/group! Happy to have you!
